A BLAZING row with his partner landed Stephen Gregson with a five-month prison sentence.
Blackburn magistrates heard that the police were called after witnesses saw a car swerve across Bolton Road outside Kwik Save and come to a halt with the male and female occupants fighting each other.
And when officers arrived Gregson and his partner were "toe to toe" on the pavement.
Gregson, 36, of Westbury Gardens, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and without insurance.
He was also dealt with for breach of a community rehabilitation order, imposed for disqualified driving, and as well as the five-month prison term Gregson was disqualified from driving for 12 months.
John Wood, prosecuting, said the initial incident had been witnessed by people in a refuse lorry at 1.55 pm.
When police arrived they were both out of the car, but Gregson admitted that he had been the driver.
Kevin Preston, defending, said the couple had travelled no more than half a mile when they got into an argument.
