HOLY Trinity Primary School are fast becoming the experts of Kwik Cricket after more success at Witton Park.
Hot on the heels of their mixed team success two weeks ago, the girls-only team notched another victory.
It means the Darwen school will have two teams competing in the Lancashire Youth Games in Lancaster later this month.
But Holy Trinity were made to wait to complete their personal double.
For the inaugural girls Kwik Cricket competition was put on hold after a torrential downpour halted the event first time around.
But when the girls finally got to the crease, it was Holy Trinity who showed they had what it takes to become town champions.
And they could call on the experience of Hayley Davies and Rebecca Hayden who were both a part of the unbeatable. mixed team.
Hayley and Rebecca now have a busy few weeks as they will be in the mixed team that will compete in the Kwik Cricket County finals. They will also be in the all girls that will represent the borough in the Lancashire Youth Games in Lancaster later this month.
The winning team also included Jade Shorrock, Rachel Milner, Elle Trobe, Humeria Patel, Becky Lofthouse and Henna Qureshi.
Only three of the original eight schools could take part in the re-arranged competition -- but that didn't seem to disappoint champions Holy Trinity, Audley and St Silas.
In the scaled-down finals, Holy Trinity got off to a flying start with a 53 run victory against St Silas.
Batting first, Holy Trinity raced to 260 runs and restricted the Saints to 207 runs.
Holy Trinity then booked their place in the final after a narrow victory against Audley.
But the two teams met again in the final after Audley beat St Silas to the showdown with Holy Trinity.
But they could do little to stop Holy Trinity completing the second Kwik Cricket victory by racing to a 17 run win.
