GRAHAM Branch is set to hold talks with Rotherham in the next few days as speculation over his Burnley future rumbles on.
Clarets boss Stan Ternent is desperate to make Branch a lynchpin in his new-look defence for next season.
The player himself has reiterated his desire to stay at Turf Moor after winning over supporters last season, when he picked up two awards at the Player of the Year ceremony.
Contract discussions have already taken place between Ternent and Branch, whose current deal expired this summer.
But there have been no further developments and Millers boss Ronnie Moore has now confirmed he is keen to hijack Ternent's plans to re-sign the free agent.
Moore - father of Clarets striker Ian - said: "I know Graham from his younger days when I was at Tranmere, so I know all about the player who can be used in several different positions."
Moore has swooped on Burnley before, snapping up Alan Lee for £150,000 in 2000 and John Mullin for a similar fee 12 months later.
