WHILE I have no doubt that Saddam Hussein was a very bad man and the overthrow of his regime is a good thing, I do have some sympathy with the view that the threat posed by his weapons of mass destruction were exaggerated by both President Bush and our Prime Minister to justify going to war.
It was announced in Washington that the Senate will hold an inquiry into the way the Bush administration used intelligence information about Saddam Hussein's chemical and biological weapons. There should be a similar inquiry here in Britain.
Tony Blair denies evidence was doctored. Fair enough, but let an independent inquiry prove that.
