A VILLAGE school has received a second first class report from government education watchdogs.
Golborne St Thomas' CE Junior and Infants' School, last inspected by Ofsted in 1998, noted that since their last visit both teaching and learning have improved.
They praised the school which has a large proportion of children with special educational needs who make good progress.
Headteacher Pam Tinsley said: "This report is a testament to the dedication of the staff, governors, parents, the local education authority and the determination of the children to do their best."
"Our goal, is to provide our children with the very best quality education we can and it is nice when others recognise that this is what is happening."
