AN ATHERTON woman claims a gang of children as young as nine are making her and neighbour's lives a misery -- in a series of intimidating incidents.
Mavis Conway, of Byron Grove on the Hag Fold Estate, alleges that a group of kids aged between 9 and 14-year-old have pelted her with stones, damaged property, threatened and verbally abused her.
Last Thursday, Mavis claims that she was hit on the head by a stone thrown by one of the group -- who hang around her home every night.
And the 54-year-old criticised Police for failing to act to stop the alleged harrassment, which she said has been going on for months.
Mavis told the Journal: "Everyone is sick of all the aggravation we have to put up with every night. There are normally eight or nine louts throwing stones at people's windows for no reason -- why?
"There's a couple next door who have a young baby, but they can't go out into their back garden because of these kids throwing stones.
"We have been reporting these incidents to the Police on several occasions but they said they can't do anything."
