NORTH West families and businesses have been horrendously let down by Labour's announcement that it is to delay making a decision on joining the euro. The last thing the North West needs is more years of economic uncertainty.
More dithering over the euro will only increase the threat to jobs, business, mortgages and savings.
And the cause of this mess? Gordon Brown and Tony Blair. Their pathetic backstabbing has hamstrung the government, which is now utterly clueless on how to lead the country on the euro.
Gordon Brown should have called a referendum and let the people decide. I believe we would have thrown it out -- end of story.
Labour is wrecking our economy as well as itself.
DAVID SUMBERG, North West Conservative MEP.
