ARTIST Ian Randall (LET, June 3) has designed and made some beautiful statues for Church Street in Blackburn.
If the council hadn't made a car park in the area the sculptures could have been spaced out more and appear less cluttered.
Regarding the Waterloo Buildings (Pavilions), built in 1835 and last used in the 1960s, they have been an eyesore for four decades. What are they going to be used for?
Blackburn is well known for being terribly slow making important decisions for the benefit of the town. Thwaites Arcade and the old market clock tower should have been saved and if they had got their finger out they could have had the old station clocks, one of which would have looked nice in Church Street.
