THERE'S no pied piper, but there are plenty of other acts lined up for the Grand Order of Water Rats' gala show in Blackpool next month.
The entertainers' charity organisation has organised the star-studded fund-raising bash for Sunday, July 13 at Blackpool Opera House.
No fewer than 18 acts are billed -- including Eastenders star John Bardon (who plays Jim) and Hi-De-Hi star Paul Shane and writer Jimmy Perry -- backed by Blackpool's Tiptoes Kidz dancers.
The show will be led by this year's King Rat, skiffle star Chas McDevitt.
The show's producer, Blackpool-based Duggie Chapman, said: "It's a gala show celebrating 125 years of the Winter Gardens and also, this year, 120 years since the formation of the Grand Order of Water Rats.
"We have brought a lot of faces who haven't been seen in Blackpool before and people will see them in a new light, like John Bardon who does a very good Max Miller!"
For tickets costing £10-12 (one child goes free with a paying adult) contact the Opera House box office on 292029.
