BAGS of advice will be on offer to shoppers in Burnley this weekend when PC Dave Wiggan will be promoting crime prevention.
His police surgery will be held outside Wilkinson's store on Saturday from 12-4pm.
The main aim is to help lower crime levels by offering people free crime prevention advice and information on a range of topics, including car crime, home security, personal safety and mobile phone theft.
However, PC Wiggan is also hoping that the surgery will send a clear message to criminals, showing them that the police and the community are working together to fight crime and make it harder for thieves.
PC Wiggan said: "Previous surgeries have proved very successful and I am hoping that this latest event will attract even more people.
"I would urge anyone visiting the town centre to come along and see me and take advantage of the free advice and free mobile phone marking.
"If we are to reduce crime levels and deter thieves then we all need to pull together and working with each on crime prevention is a good start."
