THE 1st Burnley Girls Brigade, attached to Greenbrook Church, are holding their annual inspection and display on Tuesday.
Everyone is invited to watch the girls receive their awards they have worked hard for during the past year. Company captain Anne Whittaker, the staff and the girls would welcome support.
THE community support officer for the Rosegrove area, Kevin Hall, has left and gone back to teaching. He worked hard in the area and will be missed.
ANDREA Sutcliffe and Alan Craig are the new community wardens for the Rosegrove area. They can be easily identified now when they are on duty in their uniforms.
THE Lancashire Night held at St Mark's Church, for Christian Aid Week, resulted in a cheque being sent for £150 to the appeal.
A GROUP of 15 residents from Rosegrove enjoyed a day out last Sunday. There were four children chaperoning the nine over 60s and Julie and Lyndsay were group leaders.
A TRIP to Blackpool to see the show Eclipse and a meal at the fish bar on the Pleasure Beach was a Bridge the Gap project organised by Michael Bailey and Diane Duckworth from Brunshaw Action Group. Another four areas of Burnley were also included.
