I AM seeking information on my great uncle, John Colgan, who lived at 17 Cross Street, Great Harwood, and was one of the first to join the "Accrington Pals".
He was wounded on July 1, 1916, at Battle of the Somme, but definitely survived the Great War. I think he returned to Cross Street and attended St Hubert's RC Church in Great Harwood.
If anyone has any information or is related to him, I could let them have a copy of his family tree my husband and I have researched back to the 1970s.
