FYLDE'S rugby union side will have a long, tall look next season after the club announced that two fans favourites will be with the club next season.
Karl Long return to the Woodlands after a spell on loan at the end of the 2001 season.
The former England schools international has considerable experience in both codes of rugby, most recently playing rugby league for Workington, and is the brother of St Helens league ace, Sean Long.
The centre or wing will be joined in the side by 6ft 8in lock, Erik Lund. The Norwegian international has signed a new contract after as successful loan spell from Manchester last season.
The big man from Cumbria, brother of Sale's England under-21 ace, Magnus, scored three tries in his 14 appearances for Fylde last season.
Director of rugby, Graham Smith, said: "Erik was a key member of the Fylde pack in the latter part of the season and has become a popular figure at the Woodlands.
"He is an excellent line-out jumper, is very athletic for a big man and is speedy in the loose."
