A FAMILY of seven forced to buy takeaways because of a 'botch' job on their kitchen have been sent flowers to say sorry.
Isabella Nicholson, 31, of Olive Lane, was upset after Twin Valley Housing Association workers left the family with no gas for one week.
Now the association has sent the family a bouquet as an apology for the mix-up.
Isabella said: "We spent £100 on takeaways during the week we had no gas.
"It is a nice gesture for them to send flowers and it's good to know they're sorry."
The family kitchen was finally completed yesterday after four weeks of problems. The rejuvenated room has new tiling, work benches and cupboards.
Isabella said: "The room looks fantastic and we finally have our dream kitchen."
