PRESTON boss Craig Brown reckons the fixture-fixers have given his side a great start to the new season.
North End entertain West Ham on the opening day of the season, then travel away to newly-promoted Wigan Athletic, welcome Sunderland and then head to West Brom!
Brown said: "With three of the first four games against relegated teams, I think we will find out quickly where we stand.
"They will be wanting to bounce straight back, but they are in this division for this year at least and could have a reality check coming. They will certainly be interesting fixtures.
"The West Ham game is a terrific opening fixture for us."
The Christmas period sees Stoke away on December 26, Crewe at home two days later and then West Ham on January 10 - the week before sees the third round of the FA cup.
The final two games of the season will be a long trip to Norwich on May 1 and then a home fixture on May 9 against Sheffield United.
