IT TAKES different brush strokes to make the world go round -- just ask three Lytham artists who all live on the same street.
Kate Eggleston-Wirtz, Hugh Byrne and Reg Swire are neighbours on Agnew Street, Lytham -- but they've got very different ways of presenting the world about them.
The talented trio have put together an exhibition of their work, which has just opened at Lytham Heritage Centre.
Chicago-born Kate's 3-D assemblages include zinc engravings, aluminium and woodblock prints, collages and poetry.
Hugh, 44, focuses on French, Scottish and Spanish landscapes in watercolour, acrylics and wax-water crayons together with large abstract landscapes on canvas.
And 76-year-old Reg creates local scenes in watercolour and pen and ink and abstracts in acrylic and wax-water crayons.
Kate, 40, said: "Agnew Street is a very cohesive street really. Everybody seems to know each other. When Hugh found out that I was an artist we got talking.
"And ever since Reg retired he's been drawing more artwork. We thought' wouldn't it be fun to do an exhibition?' It's a nice mixture with something for everyone."
The exhibition runs until July 6 at Lytham Heritage Centre, 2 Henry Street, Lytham. Opening hours are 10am-4pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
