DOCTORS have turned to mobile phone technology to ease waiting list numbers in a Welsh hospital.
Junior doctors at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Llantrisant, south Wales are sending picture messages of X-rays to specialists.
The consultant can then advise the junior doctors how to proceed immediately.
Docs are claiming that the use of mobile phones in this way is beginning to cut waiting times for orthopaedic patients.
In the past copies of X-rays were sent by taxi.
