A FORMER Rossendale band met up for a reunion and wowed crowds with a spectacular off-the-cuff performance.
The In Sect's were well known in the Valley for their cover versions of all the 60s top hits.
They played at the Astoria and King George's Hall as well as other local night spots which helped to make them one of the most popular local bands of their time.
Gary Lomax, of Waterfoot, Steve Kay, of Rossendale, Philip McGuiness, who now lives in America, David Gray and John Stephenson, of London, all met up again for their first re-union.
The band, who have not played together for 40 years, only had an hour to practise before going on stage at the Jolly Sailor, Waterfoot.
Gary's wife Christine, said: "The place was completely buzzing. They went down a storm and they really enjoyed all being able to play together again, it was lovely for them to be able to catch-up on old times."
