WALSHAW found themselves chasing 220 to win in their top of the table clash at Spring View on Saturday and fell just five runs short of their target.
Spring View won the toss and elected to bat and built up an impressive total of 219 with professional Sarkar leading the way with 73 not out.
A third wicket stand of over 100 between Kelly and Faulkner looked to be setting up the victory for the Sycamore Road side, but Kelly was caught going for one six too many, leaving Faulkner to lead the victory charge, but when he was run out on 98 in the last over of the game, the target was just too much.
