* Burnley Youth Theatre will bring a whole new angle to a traditional tale when it performs The Shadow of Robin Hood at its Queens Park Road premises, from tomorrow until Friday. Tickets are £3.50 for adults and £2.50 concessions. They can be purchased from the Youth Theatre's office or ring (01282) 427767.
* Following Rossendale Players' cancellation of their June production, Colne Dramatic Society is set to step into the breach to present its acclaimed production of Alan Bennett's Talking Heads at the New Millennium Theatre in Waterfoot from Saturday to next Wednesday, July 2. For tickets, call (01706) 228720. Meanwhile, the society holds its annual general meeting tonight at 7.30pm in the Little Theatre. Anyone interested is invited to attend.
* Oswaldtwistle Players are holding an evening of literary fun on July 4 at 8pm in the Straits Club, Oswaldtwistle. It's an opportunity for members of the society to get together and for people who are interested in joining to come along and meet the group socially.
