BURY'S town centre warden scheme is set to repeat its success across Europe.
Countries like Greece and Italy have been keen to learn how the ground-breaking project can help the community and give people jobs.
Mr Ged McGee, Bury Council's head of community safety, recently visited Athens and Turin on an EU-funded trip and addressed delegates from across the Continent. They were particularly interested in how such schemes could build social inclusion and generate employment.
Mr McGee, who has led Bury's scheme since its inception, said that interest elsewhere had proved phenomenal and it was nice to be on the road flying the flag for the borough.
