LANCASHIRE pace sensation James Anderson can't wait to get back out on the field of play.
The Burnley product shone in England's 2-1 NatWest Challenge series win over Pakistan last week and can't wait for the one-day international action to start again.
"I definitely want to play every day and in every game," said Anderson.
"I don't want to stop. No matter how old or how young you are, if you can play for your country, then you do.
"There's simply no thought of taking a break.
"I have striven to get into the side with my performances for Burnley and then for Lancashire, so it would be daft to lose it now."
He gets his wish on Thursday when England open the triangular NatWest Series against Zimbabwe at Trent Bridge, they then face South Africa at The Oval on Saturday.
Anderson is justifiably confident that he, and England, can do well in the face of the African challenge and he refuses any charges of that he may become over-confident.
"Fortunately, I've managed to show people that I can perform at this level and that I deserve a place," said Anderson.
"But I'm not getting carried away with it all. It's been an incredible year for me so far, but I know just how quickly things can change.
"The success hasn't changed me much, but I suppose I have become a bit more chatty around the dressing room.
"I'm not someone who talks a lot anyway, but I get my message across to the lads.
"All this won't go to my head because I have too many friends and family who are already telling me to keep my feet on the ground.
"Not just that, but the lads in the dressing room would make sure I didn't get too cocky."
