A SCHOOLGIRL has broken a three-month silence to let friends and family in on her TV secret.
Nicole Sosnowski, 14, of Whitecroft Meadows, Haslingden, a pupil at Bacup and Rossendale Grammar School, is to star on ITV's Airline later this year alongside her father Peter.
But the avid Blackburn Rovers fan was sworn to secrecy by her mum, Sue Parker who didn't want to raise hopes before they were given a date for the programme to be screened.
Airline, the series which follows events on the Easy Jet budget airline, will follow their story, which is to be shown early in October.
Peter, who now lives in Geneva, Switzerland, is a keen Blackburn Rovers fan and travels to every home game, flying by Easy Jet to Liverpool.
The pair, both season ticket holders, were filmed a couple of months ago at the airport and watching the game against Arsenal on March 15, when Rovers won 2-0. They were filmed meeting the players after the match as a final highlight to their day. Nicole's younger sister Chloe, five, who attends Helmshore Primary School, was also filmed waiting to greet Peter at the airport.
Sue, who is now remarried to Simon Parker, said: "Peter responded to an item in Easy Jet's in-flight magazine which was asking for unusual stories for the TV programme.
"He was asked if he would like to be on the show. He then asked Nicole and she couldn't wait.
"I told her not to tell friends and teachers until we received confirmation that the programme makers would definitely go ahead with it.
"Now we have been told it will be shown so Nicole has gone ahead and told all her friends.
"I was surprised that she managed to keep it a secret because she has been really excited ever since it was filmed but to her credit she did manage to keep it quiet."
