A STUDENT disgruntled over being arrested threatened to take a police officer's head off, Burnley Magistrates heard.
The court was told that Waquar Ahmed, 20, shouted in Punjabi, struggled and looked as if he was going to hit an officer.
Two policemen ended up on the floor but when the defendant was taken to the police station, he said he had not done anything.
Ahmed, of Every Street, Nelson, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and resisting or obstructing a constable.
An allegation of police assault was withdrawn.
He was granted a six-month conditional discharge.
Sue Robinson, defending, said Ahmed had been taken by the wrist and put in a police van.
She said it was 10 minutes before he was freed after the complainant told police they had arrested the wrong man.
He had not been arrested before, was understandably upset and accepted he made threats. He was then arrested again.
