THREE former Stonyhurst College pupils now studying at Cambridge University have been awarded scholarships for their top class work as undergraduates.
The awards recognise the achievements of Catherine Gardner of Aylesbury, Lokesh Khiani of Malta and Dominic Wright of Macclesfield, who left Stonyhurst College in 2001.
Lokesh, who is studying economics at Pembroke College, was awarded the Mitchell Scholarship; Dominic, who is studying pure and applied mathematics at Corpus Christi, received the Caldwell Scholarship, and Catherine secured a senior exhibition in philosophy at Emmanuel College.
Stonyhurst headmaster Mr Adrian Aylward said: "We are very proud of their success, which is an inspiration to other students. It is a remarkable achievement to have three scholarships in one year."
