RESIDENTS are urged to attend a community meeting to discuss policing in Rossendale tomorrow at 7.30pm.
A wide range of county initiatives will be on the agenda with Lancashire's extended use of speed cameras also under discussion.
The police authority community meeting will be at Longholme Methodist Church Hall, Rawtenstall.
The meeting will also include a look at the role of community police officers.
Senior police officers will give an insight into policing in Rossendale including community safety projects and independent custody visits.
Lancashire's Road Safety Partnership will also give a presentation on its achievements this year, which include a fall in road deaths and injuries across the county.
Residents will be told how road deaths have fallen by over 20 per cent and how road speeds have also reduced across Lancashire since the introduction of both fixed and mobile cameras.
There will also be a report on animal welfare visits which details the treatment and conditions of animals used by Lancashire Constabulary.
