GRAEME Souness is ready to turn his attention elsewhere in his search for a new left-back because a move for Vratislav Gresko is in danger of collapsing.
Rovers are still waiting to agree personal terms with the Slovakian international after striking a £1.5 million deal with Italian side Parma a month ago.
And Souness is starting to lose patience as the countdown to the new season starts in earnest.
As I understand it, the Rovers boss has already drawn up a contingency plan should a deal fall through.
Several alternative targets have been identified by the club's scouting network and Souness could make his move shortly if he doesn't get a firm answer from Gresko soon.
The former Inter Milan star made a big impression during a three-month loan spell at Ewood last season.
But the way he has dragged his feet over agreeing a permanent move has forced Souness to consider other possibilities.
