RESIDENTS look set to benefit from the top pickings of arts and entertainment - with the appointment of a new programming officer for Lancaster and Morecambe.
Having found a thriving arts community in the district, Euan Smith hopes to help local people to craft a mind-blowing programme of events.
Euan has an background of both performing and composing music.
His new challenge is to unearth leisure activities in the district and widen participation in local events.
"One of my main responsibilities will be creating and maintaining a 'Clash Diary', which will allow every event in the district to be listed and promoted," he says.
"It will allow us to see the pattern of activity, fill in any lack in provision, and also give the public the choice of arts and entertainment they wish."
Euan can be contacted about any arts or entertainment events in the area on 01524-582802.
