FOLLOWING the recent scare concerning the quality of our drinking water, I received the warning card and the 'back to normal' card together by the same post last Thursday.
I suppose that is better than getting the warning card after the back to normal one. Neither was dated, so I don't know whether to blame United Utilities or the Royal Mail.
While this incident may make us all aware of how much more fortunate we are than many millions of people in the world who never have access to safe water, it may also hint at the priorities of large corporate organisations in our country.
I suggest 'Fat Cat' salaries, share options and retirement packages come first, followed by large shareholders' profits.
Customers may wonder why they don't appear in my suggested top five priorities. Workers probably will not.
