LEIGH Folk Club welcomes The Bram Taylor Band to the town on Friday at what promises to be a convivial gathering of great songs, good music and humour hosted by Calico.
The band is the successful collaboration of folk singer and entertainer Bram Taylor together with popular North East duo 'Nebula' -- David (Hutch) Hutchinson and Roland (Roly) Hindmarch.
Hutch is the band's multi-instrumentalist playing guitar, citern, whistle and concertina. Roly, who has a warm laid back sense of humour, plays bass and acoustic guitars.
Leigh-based Bram plays acoustic guitar and duet concertina. He is a Fellside recording artist and performs regularly as a solo artist in the British Isles, Holland and the USA. His distinctive vocals and sensitive delivery, along with his renowned sense of humour, blend well with the solid musicianship of Hutch and Roly.
Make a date for 8pm at the folk club in the Conservative Club, Railway Road, Leigh.
