YOU'VE still got time to grab tickets for this year's Symphony at the Tower!
The spectacular show, featuring a firework display and music by the Northern Chamber Orchestra takes place on Saturday, June 28.
As usual the ancestral home to the de Hoghton family for hundreds of years -- Hoghton Tower -- will be the venue.
Last year's event attracted an amazing 4,000 people to the historic setting, with an amazing £32,000 raised for St Catherine's Hospice, and this year's event is expected to be just as big.
The chamber orchestra are conducted by Edward Peak, a well known face in music circles for his way with the audience. And the orchestra are planning a programme that will suit everyone.
The first half of the evening features Verdi, Tchaikovsky, Ketelby, Coates and Goodwin. Then the second half, which is accompanied by fireworks, features Elgar, Monti, Borodin and even Lennon and McCartney!
John Nickson, of St Catherine's, said: "This is the ninth year that we have done the firework display and symphony at Hoghton Tower.
"It's a fantastic display, and it really is an event not to be missed, come rain or shine!"
So why not pack a picnic and get down to the tower? The concert will run despite bad weather, and gazebos can be booked in advance near the main audience area.
Gates open at 4.30pm, and parking is in a field near the Tower.
