Rams taste victory again

Hero of the day was Australian professional Jason Arnberger who after claiming seven wickets in the Burnley innings, scored a magnificent chanceless century to ease his side home with seven overs to spare.

He was ably assisted by veteran Mark Price who took 3 for 57 off 24 overs and then made 30 not out in the match-winning partnership with his pro.

Despite the success the Acre Bottom boys continue to make it difficult for themselves by dropping catches.

Five chances were missed, the main beneficiaries being the Lancashire seconds starlet John Clare when he had not scored.

Ben Law (on 12) and professional Pierre Joubert (on 20).

Victory would have been much easier if these chances had been taken but on the flip side the crowd would not have had the benefit of watching Arnberger's brilliant knock!

RAMSBOTTOM'S second eleven reached the final of the LET Cup after beating Burnley in a thrilling semi-final.

Both teams finished on 164, but the Rams won by virtue of losing fewer wickets. David Bell was the hero with a magnificent 66 not out.
