PUPILS at Prestwich Community High School were put through their paces by the Army at a series of Enterprise Days.
The two-day scheme, formerly known as Industry Days, are designed to challenge the youngsters to work together as a team, think of others and work to strict deadlines.
Local employers were invited into school to work with the pupils on tasks and gave them an insight into the general world of work.
Traditionally the Heys Road school organises a fashion show, in which students have to design their own outfits from scrap material, and once again the event proved popular.
They also had to produce a video of the school's facilities, look at environmental issues and how they could improve facilities at the school.
An addition to the schedule this year included a project with the Army careers office.
The youngsters took part in an obstacle course which tested their team building and leadership skills.

Assistant headteacher, Mr Brian Worthington, said: "The pupils really enjoyed it. It was two days off-timetable and they were able to work with people they wouldn't normally work with. The Army put them through their paces and they enjoyed the obstacle course. At the end of the two days the students wanted to do it all again, but we were tired out!"
