TWO of Poulton's leading football clubs are to merge -- so they can provide football for life.
Poulton St John's Youth FC and Poulton Town FC are to come together under the Poulton Town name to provide 'football for all' and 'football for life'.
The club hopes to reach the FA's Charter Standard and become a community club, based on the Dutch model, becoming a focal point for community sport.
Players from under 9 to under 18 level are being invited to the clubs junior and youth signing-on night at the Poulton Town clubhouse, Cottam Hall, Poulton, from 7pm to 9pm on July 1.
Anyone wanting to register should be accompanied by a parent/guardian and will have to complete a registration form, provide two passport style photographs of themselves and bring a photocopy of their birth certificate.
