A WORLD record attempt for the biggest ever Christian Hokey Cokey is taking place in Blackpool at the beginning of next month.
The attempt will be part of a family fun day organised by St Thomas's Church on the recreation ground by Queens Park Flats, Layton, on July 6, noon-5pm.
Organisers say the Christian Hokey Cokey will be the biggest in the North West and, possibly, the world. Other entertainment includes 'worm charming', a giant slide and assault course, bouncy castle, stalls, school bands and donkey rides. If the weather is poor the event will be held indoors at the nearby parish centre on the corner of Devonshire Road and Caunce Street.
Proceeds from the event will go to Fylde's Trinity Hospice, and organisers hope to top the £3000 raised last year.
At last year's St Thomas's fun day organisers broke the record for the world's biggest Christian Conga of 261 people led by Blackpool schools worker Mike Heaney.
