THE Prestwich and Whitefield Supporters Club are celebrating a victory as the End of an Era activities drew to a close at Maine Road.
The team played the final 90 minutes at the Manchester City football ground, against the Merseyside Supporters Club on June 12 in the Supporters Club Challenge.
The clubs had won the chance to play the final game at the ground before the team moves to its new home, the City of Manchester Stadium, later this month.
The two teams brought along their families and friends for support and battled it out for the title. By half-time, Prestwich and Whitefield were in the lead and after an exhausting 90 minutes they claimed victory.
Don Price, chairman and manager of the Prestwich and Whitefield Supporters Club, said: "The lads have done really well and I am proud of all of them. It's such a privilege to be playing at Maine Road and it is a day that none of us will forget."
