DARWEN residents are invited to have their say on the town's regeneration board.
Three positions are available on the 20-strong board which will have the final say in the future blueprint of Darwen. Adam Scott, council director of regeneration, housing and neighbourhoods, said: "We have three posts and the people of Darwen are at the centre of these plans so they have a very important role on the board."
Councillors, business people, representatives from community associations and youth members make up the rest of the board. Mr Scott added: "The board will present reports on progress to meetings of a forum of local businesses and other interested parties. We expect the next meeting to happen sometime in September."
The representative members of the public will be chosen at a regeneration meeting next Wednesday night.
People are urged to send a short statement stating why they are suitable for the post, to Blackburn Town Hall, King William Street, addressed for the attention of the regeneration department.
