CONSIDERING that just lately, it seems impossible to pick up a copy of the Lancashire Evening Telegraph without someone either saying that Darwen has had very little invested in it or, on the other hand Blackburners, are telling us to stop complaining.
So why don't the council do something about it? I suggest that leader Sir Bill Taylor appoints someone independent to go over the books and count how much Blackburn's investments come to over 12 months and see how that fares with investments made in Darwen over the same period. I am sure this will dispel Darwen's thoughts one way or the other.
ROY DAVIES, Olive Lane, Darwen.
