A GREAT Harwood man has appeared alongside two others to face large scale drug smuggling offences at Liverpool Crown Court.
The court was told Daniel Green, of Lomax Street, will plead not guilty to the charges together with Paul Doughill, of Normanby Street, Bolton, and James Jennings of Watling Street, Bury.
Green, in his 50s, is alleged to have smuggled cannabis and amphetamine between August 1 and December 18, 2001.
Doughill, 33, and Jennings, are both accused of smuggling heroin, cocaine and ecstasy and conspiring to import cannabis, both prior to March 19 this year.
They were all further remanded on bail until September 5 when they are expected to enter their pleas.
A trial date, which also involves Darwen man, Gerald Deaffern, of Sunny Hill Close, who appeared in court last week along with a Stockport man, has been fixed for February 23, 2004.
