A TRIO of singers from The Three Towns Operatic Society have been honoured following their recent performances in Orpheus in the Underworld.
Jane McGee collected the Best Newcomer trophy, Viv Warbis received the Chorus Trophy and the Orchestra Trophy was awarded to Tony Beswick.
Lowton High student Jane, 14, who has completed her third show with the society, received her award from professional violinist Bas Barker who donated the trophy to encourage new members.
Viv, an assistant teacher at Twiss Green Primary School in Culcheth, is a member of the Three Towns' publicity team and serves on the committee.
Tony's win came as a shock as his portrayal of the character Styx was his first for the group. From Tyldesley, Tony has already become an audience favourite with his deep bass voice.
Rehearsals are underway for the annual concert on November 7 and 8 at Lowton Civic Hall.
Three Towns encourage anyone who is stage-struck to contact the secretary on 01942 897053.
