DARWEN Vale pupils will take to the air for a week.
Students from the high school will launch DVR (Darwen Vale Radio) on Monday and will go live across the world until Friday.
Damon Welsh, school learning mentor, said: "This is an innovative project for us because we will be going on the internet which means we will be broadcasting worldwide. That's massive news for the students and they're all very excited."
The school radio project will be broadcast on 106.0FM.
Mr Welsh said: "We have only a temporary licence which lasts for a week so we have programmes ready that the pupils are going to broadcast. In the past, we have received national acclaim for the radio programme and we are hoping for the same again."
The voice of Darwen High School will hit the airwaves at 9am.
