CHILDREN and adults are invited to take part in the annual Darwen Tower Trudge.
Local organisations are also invited to trek the eight-mile route to raise money for charity.
Organised by the Rotary Club of Darwen, entrants are asked to find sponsors and nominate their chosen charities.
Gilbert Riley, Rotary event organiser, said: "We have moved the date from May to August and we are hoping for good weather.
"We take care of all the planning and organisation, including marshalling the route and we also have a low-level route in case of bad weather."
The trudge starts at 9am on Sunday, August 24, starting and finishing at the Olde England Kiosk, Sunnyhurst Woods.
Application forms are available from Rainbow Children's Nursery, Halifax Building Society and Darwen Law Chambers.
Entry is £2 for adults and £1 for children.
