ROSSENDALE Hospice received a funding boost of £500 when the Manchester United Supporters' Club made an official presentation.
The money was presented earlier this week at the AGM of the supports club held at the Royal Hotel, Waterfoot.
Phil Neville, chairman, was due to attend the meeting although unforeseen circumstances meant he couldn't make it.
The club raised the cash through a Sportsman's Dinner held earlier this year.
The Manchester United and England defender said: "It's fantastic that the supporters' club have raised this money. I think the hospice does brilliant work."
Liz Nelson, fundraising co-ordinator at the hospice, said: "We would like to thank the generosity of the club for supporting us."
