Ramsbottom lad Mark Felix, who competed for the first time last year and came third will also be competingbe making a comeback in the hope of a win.
Organisers have introduced the new event, Bass Circle, to the schedule, which involves competitors holding a heavy ball to their chest and pivoting in a circle.
Contestants will be taking part in the popular log lift, truck pull, car lift, barrel load and the farmers walk.
All proceeds on the day will be donated to Rossendale Hospice.
