rCREATIVE Lowton High students impressed the top judges when they finished runners-up in a national art competition.
More than 230 Year 8 pupils took part in the prestigious Art-Works competition back in March, and they beat 500 schools to finish second and received a highly commended certificate.
Their work was judged by a number of renowned artists at the Tate Modern in London.
Delighted teacher Dorothy Taylor said: "It is an exceptional achievement for all the pupils who took part."
The works will soon appear online on the Art-Works website at www.art-works.org.uk
