ANOTHER series of deaths, another tragedy in Iraq where Tony Blair who talks of honour, has dishonoured democracy, our country, our peoples and our troops by supporting the imperialist desires of the US administration.
We have had falsehoods such as the weapons of mass destruction that were never there, or rockets that could be released in 45 minutes and reach Cyprus, or how once Saddam had gone the Iraqi people would be better fed, have clear, fresh water, a hospital service that was fully stocked.
The truth is, sadly, the opposite. Not even the electricity works properly, with surgeons left in the dark as they try to repair the limbs of children shattered by left-over cluster bombs.
The US has admitted that its troops are there for up to 10 years, which turns them into an occupation force. So we can forget the 'liberation' nonsense that was talked of before the attack. So this means that UK troops will also be there, according to Blair.
When our troops went in, we were not afraid to call for them to be brought out for their safety and that of the Iraqis. We have always stated the proper way of dealing with Iraq was through the UN.
The UN should now be fully involved replacing all UK and US troops, setting up proper self-governing councils. And let's get UNESCO and all the other agencies working to give the Iraqis some basic humanity back.
