BURY Council has been given another clean bill of health by the Local Government Ombudsman.
None of the 30 complaints made in 2002/03, down from 32 the previous year, made it to the second stage when ombudsman Mrs Patricia Thomas would issue a formal report.
Six grievances were settled locally, one was dealt with at the ombudsman's direction, while three were outside her jurisdiction. In the remaining 20 cases, insufficient evidence of maladministration was found.
Mr Mark Sanders, the council's chief executive, said the results were good news for both the local authority and the public.
