SOUL legend Sam Moore is heading for Colne -- and tickets are already being snapped up.
Grammy winning Sam first came to prominence as the Soul Man -- the lead singer of legendary duo Sam and Dave, whose songs Hold On! I'm A-Comin', I Thank You, When Something is Wrong with my Baby and Soul Sister, Brown Sugar remain classics.
Sam and Dave served as the inspiration for Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi's Saturday Night Live parody The Blues Brothers when they covered the duo's 1967 million-selling Grammy-winning Soul Man and exposed a new generation of fans to their music.
Now, to coincide with the release of Sam's first solo album Plenty Good Lovin', which has been rescued from the vaults of Atlantic records where it languished for 32 years, he is embarking on a tour which takes in the Colne Municipal Hall.
Tickets for the gig, on July 23, are available from the box office on (01282) 661234.
