STARSAILOR have finally confirmed the name of their new album, its release date -- and a nationwide tour to boot!
The indie band, fronted by Chorley's James Walsh, have named their second album, due for release on September 15, Silence is Easy.
According to the band's PR machine, it is an album of revelation, both musically and personally.
The band hope its writing and recording will reaffirm their place in the music world: they apparently believe their calling is to communicate emotionally through song, simple as that.
James said: "The album is much more confident than the first one.
"We were a lot more willing to push things and we had a clear idea of how all the songs should sound. I think that confidence is there for all to hear."
There are even more sides to this diamond than their million-selling debut album Love Is Here hinted at. It's assured, beautiful and an immediate classic, according to those have heard it.
Silence Is Easy was predominantly co-produced by the band and Danton Supple. The title track and first single, Silence Is Easy, and White Dove which were produced by '60s legend Phil Spector -- currently facing charges in the US following a shooting at his mansion.
The track Sharkfood was produced by John Leckie.
All of the album was recorded at Abbey Road, except Sharkfood, which was recorded at RAK Studios.
Musically, Silence Is Easy is a huge step up from Love Is Here.
Their tour kicks off on September 19 at the Glasgow Academy, and stops off at Manchester Apollo on September 20. It ends at the London Brixton Academy on October 3.
In addition to these shows, throughout the summer Starsailor will be play a number of European Festivals as well as support REM and The Rolling Stones.
