A RECORD-breaking team of daredevil motorcyclists will be headlining Sunday's Westhoughton Show.
The Motorcycle Madmen are the world record holders of the death-defying Tunnel of Fire -- riding through the longest stretch of fire, which they will demonstrate at the grand finale to the show, in the town's Central Park on Sunday.
The day promises to be one of Bolton's biggest summer events with fun for the whole family.
A carnival parade will set off from the Metal Box car park at noon, travelling down Bolton Road into Cricketers Way on to Leigh Road and then into Washacre. It will then visit Southfields Drive, turn left into Wigan Road, onto Bolton Road and Market Street, finishing at Central Park.
There will be floats, carnival royalty, army and naval displays, a traditional oriental lion dance and even a personal appearance from Bolton Wanderers mascot Lofty the Lion.
A free festival circus will be in the park where acrobats, clowns, fire eaters, illusionists, jugglers and stilt walkers will entertain the crowds.
Children's entertainers, a variety of stalls, live music and a radio roadshow are sure to make the show one to remember.
Cllr Donald Grime, Bolton Council's Executive Member for Direct Services, said: "The Westhoughton Show is continuing to grow in popularity and this year promises to be another exciting day of family fun."
A great programme of entertainment and events will make this an action packed day for everyone to enjoy."
